Frequently asked questions
We have put together some commonly asked questions
Online by card: This is the easiest and quickest way to pay for your subscription. You can do this once signed in, by heading to ‘Subscriptions & Payments’. Paying online by card is the only way to gain immediate access to your subscription and to start creating EBP’s straight away.
Pay by invoice: If paying by card isn’t an option for your setting we can also invoice for payment. To arrange to pay for a Boxall Profile® Online subscription by invoice, please complete the following steps:
- Create an account if one does not already exist.
- If an account already exists, then please ensure the email address that you provide on the form for the admin matches the email address on the existing account.
- Select the subscription that meets your needs and select the invoice option at checkout.
- Read and agree to our Terms and Conditions.
- Please enter the finance email and who the invoice will be paid by.
How long will it take before I receive an invoice?
Once submitted, you should receive your invoice within 1 day and on receipt of payment we will activate your subscription and confirm this to you by email. You won’t have immediate access to the Boxall Profile® Online until the payment is received, additionally subscriptions paid for by invoice will not automatically renew at the end of the subscription period.
How should I pay the invoice?
We highly recommend paying your subscription invoice electronically as payment by cheque can cause further delays to the activation of your subscription.

Boxall Profile® Online assessments cover ages 4 to 18.
There are two Boxall Profile® Online assessments: one for children (nursery/primary school pupils), and the other for young people (secondary school students).
The Boxall Profile® Online website will automatically select the correct assessment type using the date of birth on the EBP for the child or young person. You can amend this if you are working with a child or young person who is near the crossover age, but seems older or younger than their age.
Tokens do not expire and will remain in the account until you use them.
Tokens have however been designed for individual users and so if you switch to a subscription and invite other staff members, any tokens in the account will become unusable.
You can access your tokens again by removing all but one of the staff members in the account. The same applies if you are looking to purchase tokens after using a subscription.
Your card payment could be declined for many reasons. If this error appears, no money will have left your account.

If you are a parent or carer and your child is being assessed using the Boxall Profile®, this is very good news. It means that the teachers or professionals working with your child want to make sure that your child is getting the best access to education and being supported in a way your child will respond best. The Boxall Profile® is a tool that allows professionals working with children and young people to assess and identify their levels of social skills, emotional skills or behavioural difficulties and support them as necessary with the most appropriate interventions.
The Boxall Profile® works by comparing the results of your child’s assessment against a set of scores obtained from an average sample of children of a relevant age. If a child is scoring outside the expected range of scores, this would indicate the child may be experiencing difficulties with certain social or emotional skills. This then allows their school to place appropriate support to respond to those difficulties.
Many schools assess all their pupils to track progress, set targets and gain an overview of the whole school’s needs. Assessing children and young people using the Boxall Profile® empowers practitioners to identify needs early and put in place interventions to better support the children in their care.
Schools and educational professionals use the Boxall Profile® Online in different ways to help with identifying difficulties and planning interventions, so we always advise any parents or carers with specific questions on how it is being used to help a child to contact the school or professional directly.
