We are thrilled to share a new case study from the Schools Alliance for Excellence, highlighting the incredible nurture journey of the Greensand Multi Academy Trust and their work with the Surrey Nurturing Schools Programme (SNSP).

With ten schools, Greensand MAT wanted a unified, consistent approach to supporting pupils' social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). Their goal was to create an inclusive culture of belonging, rooted in the Six Principles of Nurture.

From vision to action with the Boxall Profile®

As part of their trust-wide training, staff were introduced to the Boxall Profile® to move from guesswork to a data-led approach. The tool empowered them to accurately identify pupils' SEMH needs and plan targeted, effective support.

By embedding this nurturing approach, staff reported feeling more equipped, and classrooms became calmer and more consistent.

The profound impact

The results speak for themselves. The trust saw a dramatic drop in incidents of children attempting to leave school, and attendance is now in line with national averages. Pupils are more emotionally resilient, and staff are more confident in managing behaviour by first prioritising emotional regulation.

This is a powerful example of how the Boxall Profile® isn't just an assessment tool, it's the essential foundation for driving a whole-school cultural shift.
